School Council

What is the School Council?

The School Council is a group of pupils who meet regularly to talk about the school. They suggest ideas for improving the school and sometimes raise money for the improvements.

Each class from Year 2 up to Year 6 elects children to join the School Council for a year.

What is the School Council doing?

This year the council have decided to encourage our pupils to REUSE and RECYCLE their paper.  They decided to provide all classes with a blue recycling bin.  In addition, KS2 have been competing each week for the 'Caretaker's Cup'.  The winners are the class who keep their rooms and cloak areas the tidiest and who make the best use of their Recycling bins.

Their other priority has been to provide shaded areas on the school fields in readiness for the sunny months.  They have sourced and ordered some willow kits.  Soon they will be preparing the land and planting the willows which will grow into domes, wigwams and tunnels for children to play in and around, keeping out of the sun and stating cool.

Well done council - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
