School Council

What is the School Council?

The School Council is a group of pupils who meet regularly to talk about the school. They suggest ideas for improving the school and sometimes raise money for the improvements.

Each class from Year 2 up to Year 6 elects two children to join the School Council for a year. There are also four children who are School Road Safety Officers in the School Council.

What is the School Council doing?

The Council has decided to improve some playground markings. They are raising money to do this by holding “Fruity Fridays”, where fresh fruit is sold to children and staff from a tuck shop.

The Fruity Friday Tuck shop contributed to the “Do something funny for money” theme for Red Nose Day by selling red bananas, which despite their peculiar appearance taste just like yellow ones!
